Something happens to us when we get out of our comfort zone and participate in what God is doing in other countries. While it is our hope and prayer that we will be a blessing to those ministries we visit and serve, we always seem to return from these trips realizing how much more we received from the experience than what we gave. Somehow, our view of God and His kingdom is enlarged. Here at First Covenant, we offer a variety of opportunities for people to experience cross-cultural global outreach.
For about 25 years we have developed relationships with numerous churches in this border town of Mexico. Mexicali is a great introductory experience for youth and adults alike. Teams work with local churches to provide Vacation Bible School programs for children, athletic events and concerts for youth, family worship services, outreach events, and community service projects. Although the focus of Mexicali is on the students, you don’t have to be a student to participate! Adults are needed for base camp and as kitchen crew, construction team, drivers, translators, and team leader coaches. A men’s team visits a nearby prison to share testimonies and prayer.
This short-term global outreach trip to Guatemala is an excellent opportunity for youth and adults to participate in a cross-cultural outreach experience. Team members will meet for several training meetings in which they will prepare to minister alongside various ministries in Guatemala City.

Long-time Covenant Global Outreach Partners Gary and Marylou Sander are our hosts in this South American nation. Opportunities include construction and work projects, evangelism, youth work and much more. Both men’s and women’s teams are sent to this location.

We have a growing team in Northern India who have been sent out long-term with the purpose of sharing the love of Jesus with the many unreached people groups that live there. We offer vision trips to this incredible region to helpthis team (with founding members sent out from the First Cov family) to gain a better understanding of the rich cultures and traditions of the people we hope to influence with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
